Rebounding, protein treatment, morrocan oil treatment, scalp
conditioning etc are some of the most favoured treatments we Millennials
splurge on for our hair care, without any doubt those are marvelous treatment
with instant results, but they can wreck havoc for hair’s health. Nourishing
your hair and letting it breathe is the key to healthy hairs.
So,I have come up with an idea to assess the amount of
damage done to your hair. I call it the braid test this will help you
analyze your hair and understand its problem following are the steps to this eye
opening test
First braid all of your hair as you normally would.
Now check the following
THICKNESS:
thin hair |
healthy hair |
This will help you keep in check whether the amount of hair
falling out of your head is normal or does it needs help, if the thickness of
your braid is about 1-1.5 of an inch and you have thin to medium hair, then it
is good if you braid seems thinner than that of what you see in the pictures it’s
a sign of damaged hair.
DRYNESS:
Like your skin, your hair needs moisture as well, so take the
end of your braid to check weather your hair is well moisturized or thirsty.take
the end of your braid and brush it over your face like a makeup brush if it
feels like you are using an expensive brush then your hair is on track if it
feels like a low quality makeup brush then it’s time to give your hair some
moisture.
